Please give us a short summary of your website?
The site offers design services including web, print, graphic & media design. We also offer help with site promotion and Google ranking (SEO).
What inspired you to launch your own website?
There is not a great deal of web design services in Ireland that offer value for money. they all seem to charge from €1000 starting price for a small website. I want to offer people an alternative where you still get the great service and design you want but without breaking the bank.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
In 2007 i launched irishiPhone.com. the site offers numerour services to iPhone users throughout Ireland. Some of these services would be software upgrades, unlocking, restoring troubleshooting, general advise and more.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Haven't got a clue it just seemed to pop into my head.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
I concentrate on the client first and foremost. there is no set procedure and pricing structure. With design every project and every client is different so I try to base my dealings this way. I try to get inside the clients head and see their vision of what they want.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To expand the site and possibly operate a domain/hosting site to compliment the current site.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
I never judge my success by time. If you do something you enjoy you don't mind or sometimes even notice that you have spent hours on a project.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I wouldn't change anything just yet. I enjoy seeing and being part of the growth of my sites. Seeing what they once were and have become.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
I hope so and I would put every effort into making sure I could. if I could then I wasn't meant to be Mr. Big Time.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
none yet. fingers crossed
What has been your biggest challenge?
Coming up with concepts is always the biggest hurdle I have.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
I think word of mouth is so strong. You can't really beat a client recommending you to their friends and family. These people already trust them so the recommendation holds a lot more weight than any sort of ad anywhere.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
not yet.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
This is now week 2 of the new site. I will continue to run it for the foreseeable future.
